About

Every Recipe Has a Story. Every Story Brings Us Together

Cooking to Gather was created to celebrate the recipes, traditions, and stories that bring people together. Our hope is to build a community where families and friends can share meals, memories, and meaningful connections—one recipe at a time.

The idea started during a conversation among sisters.

Like many families, we’re busy moms balancing work, kids, activities, and everything in between. One day we started talking about the things that connect us despite our busy lives.

The answer was simple: food.

Growing up, Sunday dinners were a tradition in our family. Our mom regularly brought everyone together around the table. Some of our best memories were made during those meals—sharing stories, laughing, celebrating milestones, and simply spending time together.

As adults, we’ve realized how important those moments were.

Today, we’re more connected than ever through technology, yet many of us spend less time connecting face-to-face. We believe gathering together still matters, and food is often what brings people together.

It’s a place to share recipes, preserve traditions, celebrate community, and inspire others to gather around the table. Because food isn’t just about what we eat—it’s about the people we share it with.

We also love hearing the stories behind recipes. Sometimes it’s a family recipe that’s been passed down for generations. Other times it’s the one dish someone always brings to a party, the cookies a family bakes together every holiday season, or the recipe a friend is known for making. Even people who say they “aren’t cooks” usually have one recipe that tells a story.

That’s what Cooking to Gather is all about.

We’d love to hear your story. What recipe brings your family and friends together? Share your favorite recipe, tradition, or memory in the comments and help us grow this community, one gathering at a time.
